Many of the music fanatics that I know have dedicated computers specifically for recording music equipped with dedicated software. They buy software such as protools which is a sophisticated software suite that allows you to accomplish a great deal. When I enquired as to why they prefer Macintosh audio recording the question of stability always comes up. Many musicians don’t need the versatility that a windows platform may provide and prefer to have one single robust and dedicated terminal. Mac computers are considered to be more stable which is part of the reason that creative types seem to go for them.
