This is what I like about personal loans. They are no one’s business. I can do whatever I want with the money I borrow and no one needs to know. That means no lectures on wasting money. If I don’t spend it wisely, it’s my issue. I don’t need anyone to spend it for me either. The only way it becomes someone else’s issue is if I default. Otherwise, all well meaning friends and my parents can’t keep their nose out of it. It’s my choice if I choose to take a needed vacation with borrowed money because when I get back I always work my rear off to pay for it.
