Cole’s Managed Vision Plans are offered by a wide variety of companies, groups, institutions, and associations across the nation. The plans can be purchased by individuals or by companies desiring to offer vision care plans to their employees. The plans are very competitive and offer a wide range of benefits. Cole Managed Vision was created in 1988 and today maintains the largest company owned and company operated provider panel of any vision care network residing in the United States. The list of their company providers include, but is not limited to, Sears, J C Penney Optical, Pearle Vision Center, and Target Optical. Generally, benefits offered will vary greatly depending on whether the plan is for an individual or through a group, and group plans will also vary greatly depending on the options offered by a specific company. Some benefits offered may include complete eye examination, fitting for glasses or contact lenses, and a discount on laser surgery. Some plans also contain the option to purchase your contact lenses and receive via mail order. You may choose to use a provider through the network or a non-participating provider, even if you use a non-participating provider you can still get a prescription filled at any participating network location.
