Flexibility and the word doctor do not usually go hand in hand. All of the doctors I have ever heard of work like crazy, and never seem to be able to do much because of their practice. It does more than just consume their life, it overtakes it all together. So when I decided that I wanted to go into medicine I knew what I was getting into. However, I heard about a practice called locum tenens which allows you the flexibility to go where you want to go when you want to go there. It also still carries a really good salary.
