Many people want to have a sharper hearing without hearing aid use — and a good first step towards that is to understand the difference between hearing and understanding. There is a real difference between the to\wo — it is possible to hear something and yet not understand it. If you are having trouble in understanding something that is said to you, it is not necessarily true that purchasing a hearing aid will help you — the hearing aid may make this sound louder but you may still be at a loss when it comes to comprehending the meaning of those words.
