Move Over Cover Girl

In my fifteenth summer, some friends and I decided that we were smart enough to get rich developing skin care products.

We calculated that, since so many of our friends spent money trying to find an acne scar treatment, that would be our target product.

While our friends were at the beach, we were concocting various witches’ brews. We used honey, lemon, oatmeal, and, I think eggs. We usually threw in some alcohol and perfume, for smell.

We tried these concoctions on ourselves. Not only did we not erase any acne scars, we found that two of us were allergic to some of the ingredients.

After a couple of trips to the dermatologist, we decided that we’d leave skin care to the pros and moved on to fashion. Now that was something we knew we could improve.
