Robots and Biometrics

It is conceivable that in the future, if we are to live and work with robots on the level imagined by many people, some sort of biometrics recognition technology will have to be included in order to allow these robots to identify which person is which. Already, robots such as Nissans’ ASIMO make use of rudimentary facial recognition technology to help them identify specific people. Of course there are still limits to this kind of  Biometrics  technology. However, the interactions demonstrated have become eerily more human as time goes on. Biometrics will surely play a role in the development of human and robot interactions in the future.
