Korean spoken in the north or south

The official spoken word of both north and south Korea is the korean language.

Modern day Korean comes down from Old Korean and Middle Korean.  The Middle Korean gets it origin from Korean spoken from the tenth to the sixteenth centuries, while Old Korean was used around the beginning of the Three Kings period or about the first to the tenth centuries.  You can see these are very ancient languages.

The language spoken in South Korea is usually Hangugeo which means “national language”.  North Korea speaks Goryeomal, derived mostly from Russian.  I modern times these ancient languages are nearly forgotten throughout most of Asia.  But still spoken throughout North and South Korea.

Today Korean is an important language offered in high schools, colleges, and universities world wide.
