When you think of the term paralegal what comes to mind? Often people think first about lawyers and think of paralegals as themselves being lawyers but their is a distinctive difference. Paralegal training is mainly about the law and paperwork that helps lawyers do their job more efficiently but paralegals cannot go into court and try a case as a lawyer does. You do not need to pass the bar exam to become a paralegal, which is one reason they don’t practice law. Paralegals are like lawyers right hand man/woman. Many paralegals do work alone and process paperwork for corporations and private firms.
