Homebuilt Aircraft Kits: For Everyday Adventurers

My husband loved to try new things before we were married.  If he was not rock climbing, he was jumping out of an airplane, which he loved.  We got married and settled in a quiet suburban area but he soon got restless without any adventures.  A friend of his demonstrated his new ultralight aircraft, and the next thing I knew we were looking at homebuilt aircraft kits.  Although I had my concerns about the planes, the completed models were surprisingly sturdy and used conventional airplane engines.  They were inspected before anyone flew them, and my husband had a lot of training before he ever took off in one.  His planes gave him back the thrill he was missing and he is a happy suburban flyer.
